The IALP is keen to extend our opportunities for partnership working with organizations. Over the last few years, IALP has memorialized its various professional partnerships through Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs).  Below is the current list of organizations and links to their websites:

 

Cochrane Rehabilitation

Cochrane Rehabilitation serves as a bridge between Cochrane and all Rehabilitation stakeholders. On one side, it drives evidence and methods developed by Cochrane to the world of Rehabilitation, and on the other, it conveys priorities, needs and specificities of Rehabilitation back to Cochrane.

European Speech and Language Association (ELSA)

ESLA is the umbrella organisation for many Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) associations across Europe and associations and institutions that have an interest in SLT. They currently have more than 30 member associations from in and outside Europe representing about 40,000 professionals.

International Society of Audiology (ISA)

The International Society of Audiology, ISA, is the leading International Audiology Association that provides a dynamic platform to access best practice frameworks including the most recent research and case studies in Global Hearing Healthcare.

International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI)

To facilitate the safe consumption and enjoyment of food and drink by all persons with eating and drinking difficulties (dysphagia) by maintaining the IDDSI Framework, a common language and system of practical and valid measurement techniques for naming and describing food texture and drink thickness; continuing to provide free access to the IDDSI Framework, documents, and electronic resources; and fostering global implementation and use of IDDSI.

International Society for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (ISAAC)

ISAAC – the International Society for Augmentative and Alternative Communication – is a membership organization working to improve the lives of children and adults with complex communication needs.

ISAAC’s goal is to create worldwide awareness about how AAC can support individuals without speech. ISAAC accomplishes this by sharing information and promoting innovative approaches to research, technology and literacy through AAC. Activities include hosting the ISAAC biennial conference, sponsoring projects, and offering awards and scholarships.

Raising Awareness About Developmental Language Disorders (RADLD)

RADLD.ORG, was created to Raise Awareness of Developmental Language Disorder or ‘DLD’. Their goals are to increase international awareness of DLD, to disseminate evidence based information and signpost to further reliable resources, and to develop a global network or people advocating in their local context.

Union of European Phoniatricians (UEP)

The Union of the European Phoniatricians (UEP) is a platform for the exchange of expert knowledge, clinical experience and scientific work in this area. UEP promotes the cooperation of phoniatricians in Europe, its neighbouring countries and those countries that have put the European model of Phoniatrics into practice

World Federation of Neurological Rehabilitation (WFNR)

WFNR drives awareness of neurorehabilitation, provides training and education, encourages research and collaboration and is a forum of communication for all professionals with an interest in the subject.  The WFNR now has over 5000 members worldwide, 38 Special interest Groups and is affiliated to 41 National Societies in various countries.
